When I started writing The Moon Goddess and the Wolf, I thought I knew my characters.
I thought I understood who they were, what they wanted, and where their stories were going.
But as I’ve continued writing—moving into Book 2 and Book 3—I’m realizing something I didn’t expect:
They’re changing.
And not in small ways.
The deeper I go into this world, the more I see layers I didn’t fully understand at the beginning. Emotions are becoming more intense. Choices are becoming harder. And the line between light and dark is starting to blur in ways that feel… inevitable.
Karma is no longer just discovering who she is.
She’s stepping into something powerful—and dangerous.
And the others… they’re evolving too.
Desire, loyalty, power, jealousy—everything is shifting.
It feels less like I’m controlling the story now… and more like I’m uncovering it.
Like these characters have always known where they were going—I’m just finally catching up.
And where they’re heading?
Even I didn’t see it coming.
This world is expanding.
The stakes are rising.
And the story is only getting deeper from here.
If you’ve already stepped into this world with The Moon Goddess and the Wolf… just know:
This is only the beginning.
I'm excited to see where else they take me.
